PAURIDIA (SPILOXENE, HYPOXIS)

A confusing genus of over 30 species native to Africa, Australia and introduced into New Zealand. The genus now includes many of the Spiloxene and Hypoxis but not all.

At the end of the day they are fabulous little bulbs that love a moist well drained sunny spot during their Winter/Spring growth and a dry Summer rest through dormancy.

Whatever the name you use many are bright showy and well worth a try in the garden or pots.
