Commonly known as 'yellow wax bells', Kirengeshoma is native to mountainous areas of Japan and Korea. These herbaceous perennials form clumps with a shrub like habit up to 1.2 metres. They are renowned for their large attractive palmate leaves which in late Summer are complimented by the heavy textured waxy yellow flowers. They thrive in cool moist shady woodland conditions. A humus rich soil is ideal. Such a beautiful addition to any cool climate garden.
