NOTHOLIRION

Derived from the Greek notho (false) and lirion (lily), this member of the lily family is a small genus with all species native to the Himalaya region, for example Burma, Nepal and Western China. The bulbs, like Cardiocrinum, die after flowering but allow for survival by leaving behind offsets. Most enjoy a sheltered woodland spot with filtered afternoon shade.
