WURMBEA

There were only two species of Onixotis that have now been included under the ‘Wurmbea’ genus of which there are about 50 species, all members of the Colchicaceae family from South Africa and Australia. Plant bulbs in a moist, sunny position with a small amount of complete fertiliser at planting time.  They require plenty of moisture while in growth and up until the flowers have finished in late Spring.  Bulbs prefer to be kept dry over their Summer dormancy.
