A genus of about 15 species native to the West coast of North America, with long grass-like foliage that is starting to die back as flowering begins. The starry flowers are held in umbels on thin, wiry stems. Triteleia belong to the same family as Brodiaea and Dichelostemma, and species of these genera were all once included in Brodiaea. They appreciate a full-sun position in moist soil, followed by a dry summer rest. Available Jan-Mar |
