This small genus, closely related to Tigridia, Cypella and Phalocallis are mostly found in South America. Like their relatives each flower is short-lived but they produces many in succession. Most species are mauve through to blue with a striking central eye zone. They like to be grown in a well drained full sun position. Summer or Winter dry rest can be required depending on the species. Well worth a try along with Brodiaea and Tritelleia.
Available January to March
