This is a dark form of this species.  Flowers are dark velvety chocolate brown with striking crinkled olive edging. The spicy vanilla scent is unusual but not unpleasant.  Flowers are borne in a raceme of calylxes on stems to 30cm among long slender foliage. A very unusual and fascinating South African bulb.
