This beautiful colchicum has starry shaped blooms heavily tesselated in light and dark tones of lilac. It is now thought to be an old hybrid rather than a species with C.variegatum being the only real identifiable parent. Tall blue-green, slightly wavy lanceolate foliage follows the autumn flowering period.
