The largest of all the Brodiaea this Californian gem is all class. On stems to 60cm a spreading head of violet upright stars is capped off by the pure white central staminodes. For us it flowers after the grassy foliage has begun to die back, I think it only adds to appeal. From the open plains and light woods like a lot of these fabulous Californian bulbs it enjoys a well drained full sun position. A Summer standout!
