This beautiful smaller species from Southern China has an inflorescence about 20cm tall on blotched stems to 50cm. The spathe is a pale green blotched creamy-white, the lower interior boldly contrasting red. The inflated white spadix rises from within and is sweetly scented of ripe fruit, unlike many of this genus. Cold hardy and easily-grown, this is one of the best.
