This Amaryllid from Uruguay and Argentina has vivid crimson trumpet shaped blooms on 20cm stems.

Preferring a sunny well drained position and a dry summer dormancy, this little gem comes to life when the autumn rains begin. It resembles a miniature hippeastrum. A great addition to the Autum garden.
