FREESIA

Members of the Iris Family, these plants are native to Africa, with most of the species being located in South Africa. They grow from corms which produce ‘grass-like’ ribbed foliage and bloom over a long period. Most are easy to grow requiring a well drained sunny position with complete fertiliser and lime. They need protection from frost in colder areas to avoid damage to flowers and foliage.They all require a dry rest period over Summer dormancy.
