The striking blooms are about 5cm across and are an unusual combination of a cream background with greenish-brown spots and a ruffled cinnamon edge. The spicy vanilla scent is unusual but not unpleasant.  Flowers are borne in a raceme of calylxes on stems to 30cm among long slender foliage. A very unusual and fascinating South African bulb.
