This exceptionally beautiful Eucomis species is found in forests and grassy flats up to 2800m in eastern South Africa. The neat rosette of leaves, often spotted purple beneath gives way to a 50cm stem topped with a dense 'pineapple' spike of outstanding lime green flowers edged with deep plum. Superb!
